Task 4: Talk about your daily routine and give reasons (Individual speaking)


Talk for 1–2 minutes about your daily routine. Use at least four frequency adverbs (always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never) and give reasons.


Guiding questions (on the paper, not spoken by examiner):


- What do you usually do in the morning?  

- What do you often do after school/work?  

- What do you sometimes do at the weekend?  

- Is there something you never do? Why?


Example answer

“I usually get up at 7:00. I always have a shower in the morning because it helps me wake up. I often go to school by bus because it is fast. After school I sometimes play football with my friends, but I rarely watch TV because I prefer reading. I never go to bed after midnight because I have to get up early.”



PART 3 – READING (Short, simple texts on sports)


Text 1  

Read the text and answer the questions.

> David loves sports. He usually plays football with his friends after school, three or four times a week. He also goes swimming twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At the weekend, he often watches basketball games on TV. He sometimes plays tennis with his brother, but not very often because his brother is busy. David never does sports late at night because he gets tired easily.

Task 7: Short guided writing (about 60–80 words)


Write about your school day or work day. Use at least five frequency adverbs (for example: always, usually, often, sometimes, rarely, hardly ever, never).


Include:


- What time you get up and go to school/work  

- What you usually do in the morning  

- What you often or sometimes do in the afternoon/evening  

- One or two things you never or hardly ever do  

- Give at least two reasons (because…)


Example prompts:


- “I usually get up at…”  

- “I often…”  

- “I never…, because…”  



Task 8: Writing about sports routine (about 60–80 words)


Write a short text about your sports and exercise routine.


Include:


- What sport or exercise you do  

- How often you do each activity (use frequency adverbs)  

- When and where you do it  

- One reason why you like or don’t like sports


Example structure (for guidance only):


- “I usually…”  

- “I sometimes…”  

- “I hardly ever…”  

- “I like it because…” / “I don’t like it because…”
