Dialogue 1: Going to the Cinema

Anna: What are you doing on Saturday?  

Maya: I’m not sure. I’m free in the evening.  

Anna: Let’s go to the cinema.  

Maya: That’s a good idea. What time?  

Anna: How about 7 o’clock?  

Maya: I can’t at 7. I have dinner with my family.  

Anna: Okay, then let’s go at 9.  

Maya: Yes, 9 o’clock is perfect. Which film do you want to see?  

Anna: The new action film.  

Maya: Great, let’s meet in front of the cinema at 8:45.  


Dialogue 2: Having a Picnic


Tom: Do you want to do something on Sunday?  

Leo: Yes, let’s do something fun.  

Tom: Let’s have a picnic in the park.  

Leo: Hmm, I don’t really like picnics.  

Tom: Okay, what do you want to do?  

Leo: How about going to the swimming pool?  

Tom: That sounds good. What time shall we go?  

Leo: Let’s go at 3 p.m.  

Tom: Fine. Should we take some snacks?  

Leo: Yes, I’ll bring sandwiches, and you can bring drinks.  


Dialogue 3: Studying Together


Sara: Are you busy this afternoon?  

Lina: Not really. Why?  

Sara: Let’s study English together.  

Lina: Good idea. I need to prepare for the test.  

Sara: We can meet at the library.  

Lina: I don’t like the library. It’s too quiet.  

Sara: Then we can study at my house.  

Lina: Okay. What time?  

Sara: Come at 4 o’clock.  

Lina: Great. I’ll bring my notebook and dictionary.  


Dialogue 4: Going Shopping


Mark: I need new shoes. Do you want to go shopping with me?  

Ben: On which day?  

Mark: On Friday afternoon.  

Ben: I’m working on Friday. I can’t.  

Mark: Oh, that’s a pity. Are you free on Saturday?  

Ben: Yes, I’m free after 11 a.m.  

Mark: Let’s meet at the mall at 12.  

Ben: Okay. Shall we have lunch there too?  

Mark: Yes, good idea. Let’s eat after we buy the shoes.  


Dialogue 5: Playing Sports


Emma: It’s a nice day today.  

Nina: Yes, it is. Let’s do some sport.  

Emma: Do you want to play tennis?  

Nina: I’m not good at tennis. I don’t like it very much.  

Emma: Then let’s go cycling.  

Nina: That’s better. I love cycling.  

Emma: Okay. Where shall we go?  

Nina: Let’s ride to the lake.  

Emma: Great. Let’s meet at your house at 2 p.m.  

Nina: Sure. Don’t forget your water bottle.  



INVITATIONS


Dialogue 1 – Accepting an invitation


Anna: Hi, Tom. Do you want to go to the cinema on Saturday?  

Tom: That sounds great! What time?  

Anna: At 6 o’clock.  

Tom: Perfect. Which film?  

Anna: The new action film.  

Tom: Nice. I’d love to go.  


Dialogue 2 – Refusing politely (busy)


Mark: Hey, Lisa. Would you like to have lunch with me tomorrow?  

Lisa: Oh, I’d like to, but I’m busy tomorrow. I have a meeting.  

Mark: Oh, I see. Maybe another day?  

Lisa : Yes, sure. How about Friday?  

Mark: Friday is good for me.  


Dialogue 3 – Accepting an invitation to a party


Emma: I’m having a party on Friday. Would you like to come?  

Ben: A party? That sounds fun!  

Emma: It starts at 7 p.m. at my house.  

Ben: Great. I’ll be there. What can I bring?  

Emma: Just bring yourself.  


Dialogue 4 – Refusing (not interested)


Sara: Do you want to go shopping this afternoon?  

Nick: Hmm, I don’t really like shopping.  

Sara: Oh, okay. Maybe we can do something else.  

Nick: Yes, how about going for a walk in the park?  

Sara: Good idea. Let’s do that.  


Dialogue 5 – Inviting after work


David: Hi, Mia. Do you want to have a coffee after work?  

Mia: Yes, I’d love to.  

David: Great. There’s a café near the office.  

Mia: Okay. Let’s meet there at 5:30.  

David: See you then.  


Dialogue 6 – Refusing (tired)


Paul: Would you like to play tennis this evening?  

Jenny: Thanks, but I’m really tired today.  

Paul: No problem. Maybe tomorrow?  

Jenny: Yes, tomorrow is better.  

Paul: Okay, let’s play tomorrow after school.
